In September 2011, Henan Zhongxin Chemical's aerospace furnace gasification methanol production unit was successfully started up. This is the third aerospace furnace gasification unit started up in China. The conversion section uses a low water/gas conversion process and uses QDB-05/QDB-04 sulfur-resistant conversion catalyst. Henan Zhongxin Chemical is designed to produce 300,000 tons of methanol per year and has two aerospace gasifiers. At the beginning of the start-up, a single gasifier was operated, resulting in the conversion section operating at a low load of 30%. In order to avoid the risk of overheating during low-load operation, the patented layered reactor technology independently developed by our company was selected for it, which successfully solved the problem of a low-load operation of a single converter that is very easy to overheat.
